  • The Telescope - Editor's Letter

    By Bob Beauprez, Editor-in-Chief
At some point the air has to come out of the Democrats’ balloon. Sooner would be a lot better than later – for America’s sake. Like the old Kenny Rogers’ song “You got to know when to hold ‘em, know when to fold ‘em” – I think the day is coming when America is going to call the Democrats’ hand.
  • Colorado's "No Energy" Economy

    By Mark Hillman, Contributing Editor
As if paying $4-plus for gasoline isn't bad enough, some of Colorado's political leaders seem bound and determined to spread pain at the pump to the cost of heating our homes this winter — and for decades to come. You can only flip-flop so many times.Perhaps Obama’s contradictory words will soon catch up with him. He has a history of clashing statements on Iran and Israel. Following are examples, using his own words. See for yourself.
  • Democrats Offer Fool's Energy Plan

    By Bob Beauprez, Editor-in-Chief
In his weekly radio address to the nation on Saturday July 12, 2008 George W. Bush called on the Democrat led congress to ”address the pain that high gas prices are causing our citizens.” Democrats have steadfastly maintained restrictions on tapping into large known reserves like the Alaskan National Wildlife Reserve (ANWR), oil shale deposits in places like Colorado, and offshore in US controlled ocean waters.
