Kevin is an Associate with Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck’s Denver office and a member of the firm's Land Use and Government Relations Groups. He concentrates on land use and various issues related to government affairs.
Prior to joining the Brownstein, Kevin worked for Jacobs Chase Frick Kleinkopf & Kelley as an associate and served in the public sector, working as a law clerk for the Office of the Chief Counsel for the Governor of Colorado, the Colorado State Land Board and the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies. As a law student, Kevin served as executive editor of the Denver Journal of International Law and Policy and as a research assistant for Professor Edward H. Ziegler Jr. with whom he researched and analyzed land use and zoning case law for Rathkopf’s The Law of Zoning and Planning.
Kevin has volunteered for numerous campaigns since the early 1990s. After graduating from St. Olaf College, Kevin worked on former Senator Rudy Boschwitz's U.S. Senate campaign against former Senator Paul Wellstone. Since then, he has volunteered for campaigns at all levels in Minnesota and Colorado. Recently, Kevin was elected to serve on the Colorado delegation for the 2008 Republican National Convention in St. Paul.
Kevin's community involvement includes serving as Vice President of the Colorado Chapter of the Federalist Society, on the Board of Directors for the Colorado Municipal Bond Supervision Advisory Board and as President of the Board of Directors for the Anna's Farm Homeowners' Association. In the past, Kevin served on the Board of the Directors for the Colorado Board of Parks and Outdoor Recreation.
Kevin is a graduate of the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. He received his B.A., cum laude, from the Saint Olaf College, where he majored in History and Political Science.
